The writing team of Natalie Bright and Denise F. McAllister published six books in 2021, and signed a contract for three more in a new series. The process was grueling. Natalie Bright will talk about the systems they used, what worked, what didn't and best tips on working with a co-author.

About the Event

Natalie Bright is a Texas author, blogger and speaker. Her stories and articles have appeared in numerous publications, including Chicken Soup for the Mother's of Preschoolers Soul, for which "The Race" was chosen, about her toddler son who refused to eat anything but fish crackers.  "A Cowboy's Life" was selected for Appleseeds, a social studies magazine for kids, and her short fiction story, "A Cowboy's Christmas Blessings", was published in a collection of holiday stories by Abilene Christian University Press called West Texas Christmas Stories.

Most recently, she is author of the Wild Cow Ranch Series, a Western Romance by CKN / Wolfpack Publishing. She also wrote the Rescue Animal Series of photo-illustrated easy readers for grade 3rd and 4th. And her adventure chapter book series, TROUBLE IN TEXAS, is for ages 8-10, set in the Texas frontier.

She grew up in the small town of Dimmitt, Texas and holds a BBA from West Texas State University. Her husband is a petroleum geologist and cattle rancher. They have two sons. She blogs every Friday at Prairie Purview, about the people, places, and history of the Texas Panhandle. Her book, OIL PEOPLE, which describes the varied workforce used for exploring, drilling, and refining crude oil. Natalie received the 2012 Distinguished Service Award by the Desk and Derrick Association in recognition for outstanding service to the energy industry.
